What to expect from Juvéderm Lip Injections

It may be difficult to believe that we can give you fuller lips in the time it would take you to order and receive your soy vanilla latte with an extra shot at Starbucks, but it’s true. 

On the day of your appointment at Siti Med Spa, we’ll help you get comfortable and then apply a topical numbing cream to the inside and outside your lips. We’ll leave it on for 10 to 15 minutes before the procedure. And then when we do the injections, all you should feel, if anything, is a tiny prick. Ten minutes later, and voilà! You have full, juicy lips.  

Things to know about Juvéderm:

  • Juvéderm attracts water, so for the first couple of days, your lips may appear large and swollen. But don’t worry. This is normal. After a short time, the swelling will subside and leave you with the beautiful, shapely lips you’ve always wanted.

  • You may experience some slight bruising and tenderness at the site of the injections, but that will go away, too.

  • Most people use only one syringe of Juvéderm, but you may require more than one treatment to get exactly what you want. One thing that makes Juvéderm such a top-notch lip augmentation treatment is the range of options it provides. We’ll start off with one syringe. You may be surprised by the difference subtle changes make in how you feel about your lips. If you require more dramatic changes than those you see in the first visit, we can talk about scheduling you for a second.

  • It’s important to follow any post-procedure instructions we provide in order to prevent complications. This may include not wearing lipstick or other lip products for a couple of days. (We know. You love your lipstick. We promise you’ll get it back). We’ll give you the particulars at the time of your procedure.
