What is Total FX?

Total FX is a two-part fractional laser skin treatment that works both in the deep tissue and in the upper layers of skin. In a single treatment, Total FX addresses issues of wrinkles, scarring, pigmentation, tone, and texture. The effects are immediate, and they last up to six months!

How it works:

One of our skilled nurses will numb your skin with a topical anesthetic. She will then apply the DeepFX laser (a narrow laser microbeam) to remove columns of tissue from the deeper layers of your skin. Right away, your body will begin the healing process, stimulating new collagen growth, and improving the look of lines and wrinkles.

Next, the nurse will apply the ActiveFX (a larger beam) to treat the upper layers of your skin. This process removes unwanted pigmentation, improves texture, and promotes new skin regeneration.

You’ll experience a warm sensation during the laser application, and after the 30 minutes or so, you may look a bit sunburned. The nurse will prescribe skin care instructions following the procedure. Because Total FX is a fractional treatment (it leaves some of your skin untouched), the healing process is faster than with other laser treatments.

This means your downtime is minimal.
